  • Mr. Rochester asks to meet Jane, he is not friendly and rude, eventhough he brings
gifts to Adele he is tough.

to which she says no, he tells her Adele's story and is impressed by Jane' non-judgmental
nature hinting at his hope that she does not judge him.

leaving fo long periods, she also hears of Mr. Rochester's relationship with a beautiful
lady 'Blanche Ingram', Mr. Rochester returns with a group of guests including Miss

the guests and Jane learns Mr. Rochester had insisted on her presence.

  • Typical Victorian guest gathering, Mr. Rochester insisting on Jane's presence obviously to make
her jealous,

tries to know how she feels about Mr. Rochester, it truns out to be Rochester himself who is behind
this game, obviously he is trying to see Jane's reactions.

bleeding and helps Mr. Rochester until Mr. Mason leaves and she thinks Grace ool did it. Jane
